Ever eat when you’re not hungry and think Please. Just. Make. This. STOP.
Looking for something that can trump Hand to Food to Mouth?
For me and my clients, it’s been Hand to Pen to Paper.
You’d never think you could get such great results from burning so few calories.
Before I started this particular exercise, I’d say my hand to food to mouth exercise went on for about 24 years.
More often than not, from about the age of 12 to the age of 36, I’d start eating from reasons other than being – physically – hungry.
It was also often the case that I’d eat beyond the point of being full.
Which yes, meant that I was often past the full mark before I even started eating, or at least very shortly thereafter.
Tell me…
When you’re not hungry, but you feel like you must eat RIGHT NOW, what are you worried will happen if you don’t?
The reality is this.
If you’re eating and you’re not hungry, it is because you are afraid something worse will happen if you don’t eat, than if you do eat.
And we can both trust that you wouldn’t let something bad happen to you.
That’s just one reason why I have an impenetrable faith in you.
So you tell me – on our new age paper here – and we’ll go from there.

“When you’re not hungry, but you feel like you must eat RIGHT NOW, what are you worried will happen if you don’t?”
Great question Karen. What immediately came to mind is the thought, “I won’t get what I want” and I realized right away I have this thought in other areas of life too, not just with food. I’ll get close, but never quite reach the goal. I’ve had this limiting belief a long time, and the evidence to prove it’s true!
Dear Sandi,
As promised, we’ll go from here.
When you’re not hungry and you feel like you must eat, it’s because you are afraid that you won’t get what you want…
I’m sure you already know the follow-up question.
What are you afraid will happen if you don’t get what you want?
Seems silly because it’s already happened and I’ve survived: I’ll be disappointed, I’ll feel like a failure, people will judge me, I’ll lose credibility, and on and on, a relentless tape playing in my head. It’s so much easier to deal with in other areas of my life. With my body, my weight, it’s more like climbing Mt Everest!
And with that, thanks to you, we’re at the top of the mountain.
If you feel like you’ve reached this message in error
but you want to hear more about how you got us up here so quickly and are game for an unconventional climbing skill, just let me know…
